This is the second part of the Spuds installer which must be purchased. The first portion is located at www.bogturtlegames.com and is free. Make sure the first and second parts are in the same directory on your machine. To install Spuds, run SpudsSplitSetup.exe.

Spuds is an offbeat game that is part strategy and part puzzle-solving. You will build a stable of Spuds (Synthetic Pattern-matching Universal Defenders) that will fight for you, die for you, race for you, and solve puzzles for you in an effort to overcome an alien invasion.

You define your spuds' behaviors using built-in easy-to-use visual tools, and then can lead them through a single-player campaign or command them in a variety of online multiplayer scenarios.

Requirements: Windows 98 or higher / Latest DirectX 9.0c or higher

Note that Spuds requires the latest DirectX version 9.0c or higher. If you encounter any DirectX problems such as "d3dx9_36.dll not found," then you will have to update to the latest DirectX at http://www.microsoft.com/directx if you want to play Spuds.

Windows Vista users should be aware that Spuds needs to run as an administrator to work properly. This means that everytime you run Spuds or its installer, the Windows Vista User Account Control will have to confirm that you want to continue. This also means that if you check the "Launch Spuds" option at the end of the Spuds installer, it may not work on Windows Vista.  In this case, simply launch Spuds once the installer exits. In the future, we will try to make our products work more seamlessly with Windows Vista.
