The Wonders in Creation
This lesson continues our series in the Laws of Torah Foundations by Maimonides (Y.T. 2:1-3). We are commanded in Torah to love and fear G-d, yet how can one love and fear something that is no more than an abstract concept? This lesson discusses how RaMBaM directs us to contemplate nature and to learn from the natural order the Presence and Wisdom of the Primordial Intelligence. Communion with nature is the path to experiencing G-d. Yet, there is more to nature than meets the eye. RaMBaM discusses those parts of nature we experience directly and those parts that we do not. This lesson also begins discussion on RaMBaM's discourse about angels; who they are and what they are. |
